It had been a while since I did a gig, (check the archives if you are curious!) and this one was at a new venue for me.

I recently picked up the Canon 105mm f2.8 L series IS Macro lens. I've not done a great deal of macro shooting in the past, partially due to only ever having an old manual focus 1:4 macro on my Sony.

I spent some of this afternoon shooting in TechnicalBoy's studio in hackney. This was part of his new Meetup Group Light Spot Studio Photography As part of his group session, he arranged for us to have an hour-long session with a model. We were working with the lovely Ella De Vine.

Once again, I went with some of the other locals to Blackheath for the annual Guy Fawkes fireworks

This was a shoot in the north London studio Adrian Pini's Studio, near Brent Cross tube station. The studio itself is in a warehouse district which presents a lot of opportunities for non-studio images to be taken alongside the studio work.

TechnicalBoy offered me the chance to use some of his day shooting the talented IvoryFlame. Naturally, I couldn't turn down the chance to do an art nude studio shoot with an experienced model with support and advice from an experienced photographer.

This shoot was unusual, the participants were all musicians, who had come along to get promotional images to use for their work.

Inspired by the exhibit, I set my camera to quiet shot and wide angle and look surupticious photos of people enjoying an exhibit on voyerism and surveliance photography.

Once again accompanying the Jacket as his Photographer for Fatea Magazine for a performance of Anais Mitchell at 12 Bar near Tottenham Court Road.

Sunday 23rd at Westbourne Park was a Giants Photoshoot, playing with perspective and wide-angle lenses. There were three models, two girls and a guy.

Saturday, despite the amazing sun, I spent my day in a darkened studio with the undead.... It was a shoot organized by the Alternative Photographers & Models Meetup Group and based at Studio Seventeen in Balham.

Once again acting as the semi-official photographer for the talented Ducky Fuzzlin's who were playing at the O2 Academy in Islington. It’s a small venue, but with a good approach to the stage which is well lit.

I met the band, the Ducky Fuzzlin's through Photography and was asked to come along to one of their gigs with my camera.

This was one of the few occasion where my photography has met with authorities resistance. It was taken near London Bridge and we were chased from location to location by fluorescently clothed security guards.

The shots were taken in a cemetery in northern London. We were eventually chased out by the police because the proper permissions had not been arranged.
