Fort Worth international Airport

I spent an evening in Dallas thanks to delays in taking off from Costa Rica, leading to a ten hour wait in Heathrow, before turning around in Gothenburg and flying to Riga.

I got to Costa Rica’s airport at 10am, very early as advised, we were already 1h delayed by this point, but I was not concerned as I had over 3 hours to change in Dallas, due to leave at 1.30, we ended up not taking off till 4.45 due to technical problems. I landed at 10pm, just as my connection was taking off. The airline were very good, booking me onto a flight the next day and a hotel, but it was midnight before we got to the hotel, and 1.30 by the time I’d eaten a Dominos (forgetting when I ordered the size of US portions!).

As checkout was 12, I was at Dallas airport very early for the 17.50 departure, just to make sure.
