Bala
Nestled in the heart of Gwynedd, Wales, Bala is a charming town that exudes a sense of tranquillity and timelessness. It's a place where the Welsh language thrives, with over 70% of the population speaking it fluently. The town is steeped in history, from its roots in flannel manufacturing to its theological college, Coleg y Bala. But it's not all about the past. Bala is also a hub for outdoor enthusiasts and was our location for a bit of camping in Wales.

Camping
With some friends I camped in Snowdonia, near the town on Bala. Some walks and stargazing allowed the attached photos.
The stargazing was a particular feat as I had neither my telescope, nor my tripod and so all the star photos are done using a small plastic table.
