It has been a year since I stepped into a studio, so it was with some nervousness and excitement...
I was rather looking forward to this shoot, as I am a huge comics fan
The model for this shoot was the talented Elle Black, who’d been doing this shoot for several sessions and so had a good idea of what would work and what wouldn’t. I was shooting with another photographer, Michael, who was shooting nude for the first time, though you’d never know it, and we had an hour split between us, so we did three ten minute sessions each, alternating.
I recently attended the Advanced Studio Lighting course run by the London Photographic...
This was a meetup of the Alternative Photographer and Models Meetup Group.
This was a workshop with the Lightspot meetup group, run by TechnicalBoy at his Studio
I spent some of this afternoon shooting in TechnicalBoy's studio in hackney.
This was a shoot in the north London studio Adrian Pini's Studio, near Brent Cross tube station.
This was another one of the senior shoots, so less photographers for each model.
TechnicalBoy offered me the chance to use some of his day shooting the talented IvoryFlame. Naturally, I couldn't turn down the chance to do an art nude studio shoot with an experienced model with support and advice from an experienced photographer.
Sunday 23rd at Westbourne Park was a Giants Photoshoot
Saturday, despite the amazing sun, I spent my day in a darkened studio with the undead....
This was one of the few occasion where my photography has met with authorities resistance.
This was my first use of the second camera, the Konica had the 50mm lens
This is the only landscape image to make it into the years collection I pulled together.
Interesting concept for a shoot and one with a potential for a lot of stock photos.
Shibari, as it is named in the fetish community, is the Japanese art of rope bondage. In Japan, it would, more correctly, be called Kinbaku (緊縛) which means "tight binding,". The art has something with a long history, dating to the Edo period in the 17th Century. This was the first studio shoot I had ever done, and it was throwing myself into the deep end as it was a partially nude shoot (not all Shibari is done nude).
For a long time, I personally found that this was my best work.
This was an unusual shoot, it was arranged to take advantage of a Cemetery open day.
This image was taken as part of the "Recreating Famous Photographs" shoot.
