More of the Moon

Still waiting for my replacement tripod to arrive, I once again decided to do some hand held shots of the moon. Getting the crystal clear sharpness is incredibly tough hand held, and I'm still not that happy with the results. Having the shutter speed fast enough to counter the shake from hand holding the equivalent of a 800mm lens means a dark moon and a lot of grain due to using a high ISO. Neither of which are desirable. So I tried an old photographers trick. Using the burst feature. Setting my shutter speed lower, but firing off a dozen shots in the hope one would be in focus.

It worked, to a degree, but I'm looking forward to doing some more shooting with my tripod (and probably my laptop linked in for tighter control on focus.
